What is GreenClaims Manager?

GreenClaims Manager is an algorithmic SaaS tool that helps companies assess their sustainability communications for greenwashing risks. The algorithm analyses texts for over 200 known greenwashing patterns and provides specific suggestions for improvement.

Who is GreenClaims Manager suitable for?

GreenClaims Manager is aimed at companies of all sizes that wish to have their sustainability communications professionally reviewed. The tool is particularly relevant for CSOs, marketing departments, compliance teams and legal departments.

What is greenwashing?

Greenwashing refers to the practice of portraying a company or product as more environmentally friendly than it actually is. This can be achieved through vague wording, unsubstantiated claims, misleading comparisons or the selective use of data.

Why is it important to prevent greenwashing?

With the EU Green Claims Directive and the CSRD, the regulatory requirements for environmental claims are becoming increasingly stringent. Companies that breach these directives risk substantial fines and reputational damage.

Functions & Analysis
What types of documents can I analyse?

GreenClaims Manager supports PDF, Word (.docx), HTML and plain text. You can also enter URLs for the automatic website scan.

How accurate is the recognition?

The GreenClaims Manager checks for over 200 known greenwashing patterns across six analysis dimensions: body text (NLP), image alt text, text within images (OCR), environmental labels, visual greenwashing signals and page screenshots. Each finding is assigned a confidence score. Any findings that the automated analysis cannot assess conclusively are flagged for manual review.

Which languages are supported?

We currently support German, English, French and Italian. Further languages are in the pipeline.

What is the difference between Quick Check and Deep Analysis?

The Quick Check analyses individual texts in under 30 seconds and is ideal for quick checks. The Deep Analysis examines entire documents (up to 100+ pages) in detail and provides comprehensive highlights with suggestions for improvement.

Can I define my own validation rules?

Yes, on the Enterprise Plan, you can define your own validation rules and company-specific criteria. Our Customer Success Team will help you set these up.

How long does a website scan take?

That depends on the number of pages. Initial results will be available in a few minutes. You can track the scan status at any time via the dashboard. Large websites with hundreds of subpages are analysed thoroughly in the background.

Regulation & Compliance
Which regulations are covered?

The 2026 Amendment to the UWG, the EmpCo Directive (EU 2024/825) and the EU Taxonomy Regulation. Each finding includes the specific legal basis with a reference to the relevant section, no generic warnings, but precise legal classification.

Do I need legal expertise to use the tool?

No. The GreenClaims Manager provides explanations and recommendations for action in clear, easy-to-understand language. Each finding includes a specific suggestion for improvement, along with alternative wording. For the final legal assessment, we recommend seeking legal advice, the tool provides findings and probabilities, not legal advice. However, the integrated workflow allows all findings to be documented in a structured manner, prioritised and, if necessary, passed on to external legal advisers.

What happens if the amendment to the Unfair Competition Act comes into force and my website is not compliant?

From 27 September 2026, unsubstantiated environmental claims may result in warnings. This could lead to fines, injunctions and damage to your reputation. The GreenClaims Manager helps you to identify and correct any problematic claims in good time.

Is there a free trial period?

Yes, all paid plans include a 14-day free trial. No credit card required.

Can I change my plan at any time?

Yes, you can switch to a higher or lower plan at any time. If you upgrade, the difference will be charged on a pro rata basis; if you downgrade, any credit will be applied.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, SEPA direct debit and bank transfer (Enterprise only). All payments are processed securely via our certified payment provider.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes, you’ll get a full refund within the first 30 days, no questions asked. We’re confident that you’ll love GreenClaims Manager.

Will I receive an invoice?

Yes, you will receive a proper invoice by email every month. On the Enterprise Plan, individual billing arrangements can be made.

Privacy & Security
How are my documents handled?

All uploaded documents are transmitted and stored in encrypted form. They are used solely for analysis purposes and, if requested, are deleted immediately after the analysis is complete.

Where is the data stored?

All data is stored exclusively on servers within the EU (Germany). We comply with the GDPR. The ISO 27001 certification process has been initiated.

Will my texts be used for model training?

No, your documents will not be used to train models. Your data belongs to you and will be treated confidentially.

Is there a data protection agreement?

Yes, we offer a data processing agreement (DPA) in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR. For Enterprise customers, we draw up bespoke data protection agreements.

Integration & Support
Can I use the tool as part of a team?

Yes. GreenClaims Manager supports team-based working with role-based access control (four system roles plus custom roles), a commenting function and task assignment. From analysts to compliance managers, everyone sees exactly what they need.

Is there an API?

Yes, our REST API is available from the Professional plan onwards. You can find the full API documentation in your dashboard.

What integrations are available?

GreenClaims Manager can be integrated with WordPress, HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, Microsoft 365 and many other tools via plugins and APIs.

How do I contact support?

Starter customers can use our Knowledge Base. Professional customers receive email support with a 24-hour response time. Enterprise customers benefit from premium support with a dedicated Customer Success Manager.

Is there any training or induction?

For Enterprise customers, we offer personalised onboarding and training. All customers have access to our comprehensive knowledge base, video tutorials and webinars.
